The basis of this poster is that we must collectively act to fight the climate crisis now, by taking actionable steps toward changing systems. I talked with three specialists about the actionable steps that we can make. Kristin, who works at San Diego Coastkeeper, talked about how many of us don’t know how closely linked our energy systems, water systems, and the environment are. Maleeka, who works at Climate Action Campaign, told me about the collective power we have at a community level. If we want to see universal changes, we must start locally. Katrina, who owns a refill zero-waste shop in San Diego, told me about how we need to rethink how commodities are purchased and disposed of, from an individual to a systematic level. I also included a set of systematic policy solutions and charts on greenhouse emissions data, for us to have further detail on how we can take action.
